We can work with your own fiber
(Information for alpaca farmers)

This company comes from year 2000. Until year 2002 we were basically a "hand loomed" alpaca knitting company. But then we have grown to be a "hand knitting" company, outsourcing the manufacture of special toys and rugs, then we have got the marketing and herd developing tasks for a medium sized alpaca farm (5,000 animals). Just 2 months ago (February 2004) due to law changes in our country, we got new assignments for finding and developing markets for vicuna and guanaco fiber and products. Partners of our company have developed strong alliance with other camelid related companies: a Mill (that is not one of the big 5) and a NGO between them. So we will start to export a special line of very fine baby alpaca yarns worldwide and we will develop international investment camelid proyects in Peru in very short term.

Alpaca is not a known fiber. There is 5,000 tons of cashmere and they reach the shelves as very fine products. There is 4,000 tons of alpaca produced each year but they reach the market blended in small percentages (so the product is not called "alpaca" product due to international commerce laws) or it is "hidden" under a "brand name" that is related to high fashion couture. In the end alpaca is used but not known.

We think that developing your own brand name is good. But using your own fiber is better! All counts in the effort to develop an alpaca market.

We can take any amount of alpaca fiber to be worked and returned to you in form of end products. We work directly with a medium size mill. If you don't have enough fiber of one quality then we can "trade" fibers looking for a fair exchange for you. If you are an alpaca farmer and need end products developed with your own fiber or have fiber that need to exchange by end products, contact us.

If you want that we process your fiber and return to you in form of yarns that is possible too. We have skilled artisans that can do it in hand spinning or we can use the machinery to get a worsted yarn with top quality (any count (nm system) is possible (for hand knitting, hand loomed machines (like Singer, Passap) or for industrial machines (gauges 8, 10 and more). We can work in natural colors, or we can develop dyed solid colors, mélange or moulinette colors).
